What size is the mattress?
160 cm wide by 210 cm long, with an approximate depth of 25 cm. Use those measurements when checking your room and linen.
Is it for tall people or heavier people?
Both. Big Jo’s is designed around the extra length and support that big and tall people look for in a bed.
How firm is it?
It’s a firm mattress, with a reinforced high-density support core, an ultra-high-density foam layer and a latex comfort layer.
Does it have springs?
No. It uses foam and latex layers rather than springs.
What’s the difference between Flax and Charcoal?
The finish. Flax uses a natural-coloured weave with clay stripes. Charcoal uses a dark grey weave with tonal stripes. Both designs have a cream sleeping surface and a matching base.
Where is it made?
The bed is made to order in Cape Town.
Will my current sheets fit?
Check the label and measurements. The mattress is 160 × 210 cm and approximately 25 cm deep, so a standard size name alone won’t tell you whether a fitted sheet will fit.
Is there a matching base?
Yes. There’s a matching heavy-duty base in either finish. Confirm your chosen mattress-and-base configuration when you enquire.
How long does it take?
We make each bed to order in Cape Town. After you pay, we’ll confirm the production time by email and arrange a delivery date with you.
What should I measure before ordering?
Measure the room and the route the bed will take into it, including doors, stairs and tight corners. Ask us for the finished base dimensions and how it will arrive so you can check the full route.
How do I pay?
Online, through PayFast. You can pay by Instant EFT, Capitec Pay or card. We never see your card or banking details.
Where do you deliver?
Delivery is included anywhere in Cape Town. If the bed needs to go further, ask us first and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
Can I try it at home first?
Yes. Every bed comes with a 100-day trial, starting on the day it’s delivered. If it’s not right for you, let us know within 100 days. We’ll collect it for free and refund you in full within 30 days, no questions asked.
Can I cancel before delivery?
Yes. You can cancel at any time before your bed is delivered, and we’ll refund the full amount you paid within 30 days.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. The mattress comes with a 20-year warranty. It covers the mattress only, not the base.
